TROPHY SCULPTOR

A student at the Bayonne art school, a surfing champion, a traveller, a father and a lover of life. And more.

Joël even came close to becoming a professional golfer.

Unfortunately, the snow in Clermont-Ferrand cancelled the sporting event.

Joël didn't turn up for the next session.

For several tournaments, he caddied for Olivier Léglise.

He was France's first shaper.

At Barland, allées Paulmy in Bayonne.

Among others.

He learned this art in Hawaii.

For ten years, he shaped the surfboards produced in Bayonne.

Until the day came when it was no longer possible to breathe in all those particles.

He became a sculptor.

It all started with women.

That's how you become a sculptor.

Today, his works can be seen in squares and parks in Biarritz, Monaco, China and elsewhere.

And on the ARKEA OMNIUM INTERNATIONAL SENIOR trophy.

Because the wave and the golf swing are to some extent the same dynamic.

The wave takes off. Slowly.

It rises, building up power.

It forms a tube. Then it falls.

It spills over the coral reefs of Tahiti.

Slowing down, accumulating, restoring, accelerating.

The ARKEA OMNIUM trophy is a motionless form that represents the movement of golf in space.

And the wave.
