A transmission logic, with young regional players

Responding to the invitation of the organization of ARKÉA OMNIUM, and mainly that of Didier Picot, the Departmental Committee of 64, through its president Maïté Senly, invited a dozen golf schools so that young enthusiasts in the region can also take advantage of the presence of experienced players, to initiate moments of exchange, conviviality and transmission.

An unprecedented experience.

Each golf school will therefore be represented by its two best U16 players available (depending on the ranking) to play a double in the morning, as a prelude to the last round of the official competition. In addition, a putting competition by team of 4 to 6 players from the same club will be organized in the afternoon.

All the results will allow the Departmental Committee to award a prize to the two competitors who achieved the highest score in the U16 Double Championship as well as a prize to the golf school which achieved the best overall performance (double of the morning plus putt contest) and who will win the «Challenge des Ecoles de golf».

On this occasion, we recall that the departmental committees aim, and in this case 64, to propose actions to federate and promote the development of our sport (acquisition and progression of disability). By protecting themselves from any interference, the Departmental Committees propose, the clubs are free to participate or not in the actions implemented.

In the specifications of this day, all young people present will have to wear the polo of their club and will be supervised by their pro or by volunteers of the club. With the golf schools* responding positively, we should see enthusiastic and motivated young people on this Saturday, June 29.

At the end of the day, Jean Van de Velde, the sponsor of the 2024 edition, will create a clinic so that all golf lovers, and especially the youngest ones, can marvel and measure the progress to achieve their dreams of victory.
